Good afternoon,

In preparation for migrating from SharePoint 2010 (SP2010) to SP2013, we're looking at developing a SP Governance plan, which will center around putting into place some standards providing unification and consistency in things like site/page development (right now, we're kind of all over the place in this area). However, in addition to that we also want to put into place a records governance plan (RGP), which, I think would be different from IG, and will center around records creation, classification, management (candidates for "manage-in-place" vs. record center), storage, and disposition as related to all things SP. As I am still trying to wrap my brain around what this could look like, I'd appreciate talking with anyone currently using SP who has implemented something similar. Off-list of course.

I'm also curious as to whether anyone has "swept up" documents/records from file shares and network drives, into SP for management? If so, then I'd like to talk with you about that experience.

Thanks.
Earl
