Job Purpose: To assist with the development and execution of a Records
Management program, including the creation and implementation of records
schedules, for both electronic and analogue records.



Job Duties: Produce a short and long-range plan regarding a sustainable
Records Management program; work closely with IT and other departments to
ensure the reliability, security, and accessibility of all records,
regardless of format; work with records creators across departments to
establish proper records management processes and procedures; work with
staff archivist to create and administer the proper guidelines for the
transfer of records for permanent retention; related archives tasks as
assigned.



Required Qualifications: MLS graduate student in library, archives, and/or
information science, with an emphasis in Records Management; one-to-two
years of experience in Records Management, and archives administration;
knowledge of archival principles and practices, archives access techniques,
information organization, and archival appraisal of records; experience
conducting RM interviews, use of function analysis or organization of
records by department; experience creating records retention and
disposition schedules; experience creating RM policies and procedures;
proficiency
with PC, Microsoft Office tools; strong written and oral communication
skills; strong service orientation required; ability to work independently
and in a team oriented environment.



Preferred Qualifications: Experience training staff in proper Records
Management practices; familiarity with registrar’s files, and museum
records.

is a six-month, term position. *
