Clackers. Even as a very young kid in the early 70s I remember thinking they were dangerous. Yes, you can still get them. I had a sister who was much older who had several sets. I remember moving to a safe distance to watch and wait for the horror and screaming when they would eventually knock her to the floor. I think that was the result for every kid who ever played with them. To a kid, I think the high odds of smacking yourself in the head and/or face is what made them so popular. There was a definite element of danger associated with them. I can still remember the broken halves on the floor when they would finally break after unleashing hours of mayhem. I think I only picked them up once and wisely never touched them again. And yes, I broke one set of them in my one and only experience playing with them.
