UPDATED: TURN advocacy group files motion to force PG&E to release many
more of its emails with CPUC

PG&E said in mid-September that more than 65,000 emails were sent between
regulators and the San Francisco-based utility since early 2010. But it's
unclear how many of those communications concerned a controversial ongoing
rate-setting case, PG&E's gas transmission and storage operations or other
matters related to the September 2010 gas pipeline explosion and fire that
devastated San Bruno's Crestmoor neighborhood and underlies the current
controversy.

The Utility Reform Network

said early Tuesday that the motion is an attempt to show "whether PG&E
engaged in other secret efforts to rig the Commission’s decision-making
process in PG&E’s Gas Transmission and Storage Rate Case." It wants to find
out if the utility has other documents "reflecting private, off-the-records
communications" with regulators that could affect the rate case and related
issues.
