Records and Information LifeCycle Specialist job in Boston.

Special Counsel Information Governance is seeking candidates for a Records and Information LifeCycle Specialist job in Boston. The ideal candidate would be organized, motivated, have ability to keep information confidential, and a team player.  The candidate should have strong communication skills written and verbally.

This position provides advice to clients on the management of information and data from start to finish, including retention scheduling, destruction and archiving. This position also identifies the legal and organizational risk for clients and provides recommendations for records based on compliance regulations.

Responsibilities:
*             Develop policies and procedures for records and information management
*             Develop records retention schedules
*             Advise and recommend plans to structure paper and electronic filing systems
*             Develop training and education for employees on compliant records management practices
*             Provide instruction on the implementation and maintenance of electronic records management systems
*             Research laws and regulations to maintain records and information management compliance
*             Prepare and manage budgets

Qualifications:
*             J.D. required and at least 3-4 years general office, law firm or records management experience.
*             Proficiency in records management concepts, including data privacy security and HIPAA/HITECH.
*             Experience in developing or maintaining records management policies, procedures and records retention.
*             Experience with Microsoft Office, records management and document management systems.
*             The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
*             The ability to be resourceful and effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
*             The ability to maintain confidentiality.
*             Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
