Announcing a Records Management Officer job in Jacksonville, Florida!  Do you have extensive experience in project management and a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a similar role for a large corporation?  Then this could be an outstanding opportunity for you! Records Management Officer Job Responsibilities:

* Research and stay updated on laws and regulations related to maintaining document database and information in a corporate setting
* Work with internal partners in various business units to ensure policies and procedures are in compliance
* Day to day contact for questions related to document retention
* Develop, maintain and update corporate retention and destruction schedules for documents
* Develop RIM policies, processes and tools; maintain and update RIM SharePoint site
* Direct transfer, storage retention and destruction of discontinued operations documents in compliance with RIM
* Ensure RIM policies and procedures are well documented, tested and communicated to internal contacts
* Stay informed on legal industry and trade association updates for best practices and emerging applications and methodologies

Qualifications:

* Bachelor degree required; JD preferred
* Ten (10) years' plus of progressive document management experience in a large corporation (financial services preferred!)
* Must have prior experience directly overseeing, leading, and completing RIM programs
* Background should include experience implementing tools and system to manage documents and information, including systems to automate corporate governance
* Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to various document types created and maintained in a corporate setting
* Strong understanding of technology as it relates to RIM including systems for creating, storing and organizing electronic information and software, RIM database management tools and related technologies
* Must have a flexible schedule and ability to work non-traditional hours as necessary
* CRM certification through ARMA preferred
* Experience in Six Sigma or Lean preferred
* Project management certification preferred
* Proficient with MS Office Suite, Access, Project, SharePoint and other web-based applications
