KIMARIE R. STRATOS, Senior Vice President and General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer, Memorial Healthcare System.

Kimarie Stratos serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer for Memorial Healthcare System. She oversees legal, risk and privacy issues for the entire hospital system, which includes Memorial's six hospitals, numerous primary care and outpatient centers, a nursing home, a clinically integrated network of over 1,000 physicians, and other enterprises. Prior to joining Memorial, Kimarie acted as Senior VP and GC for Miami Children's Hospital.

As GC of Memorial, Kimarie provides legal advice to senior management on a myriad of issues including regulatory and compliance matters, patient privacy, data security, bioethics, contracts, human subject research, and governance.

Kimarie received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida with High Honors and Honors, respectively. She studied International Law at Oxford University, UK. Following law school, Ms. Stratos served as a federal law clerk in the Southern District of Florida before joining a large Miami law firm where she practiced as an associate and partner.

Ms. Stratos is a frequent speaker at national industry conferences, including those held by the American Health Lawyers Association, the Risk Management Society/Florida Chapter, the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists, the Florida Bioethics Network, and Sedona Conferences. Ms. Stratos is a published author in the field of health care and a member of numerous professional associations, advisory councils and non-profit boards.


JOEL WUESTHOFF, Director, Robert Half Legal eDiscovery  & Information Governance Services.

Joel Wuesthoff is a former practicing attorney, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a director for Robert Half Legal eDiscovery Services.

With over twenty years of legal practice and consulting work in high stakes litigation and government investigations, he has led IG and eDiscovery audit projects for complex enterprises, working with General Counsel (GC) offices and IT departments to improve data identification and preservation practices, reduce inefficiencies, and strengthen corporate capabilities to respond to litigation and compliance requirements. Joel works with clients to identify solutions for managing Big Data challenges and social media application growth, helping to align legal objectives with IT department priorities and responsibilities.

Joel has spearheaded international forensic engagements and advised GCs and litigators on strategic and legal preservation efforts in multi-billion dollar matters. He has served  as a leader at publicly traded consulting companies, overseeing the delivery of a broad range of e-discovery and IG services, including collections, data analytics, processing, and document review assessment.

He has counseled organizations on 30(b)(6) preparation, assessed opposing parties' efforts on reasonable ESI collections, and participated in FRCP 26(f) meet and confer negotiations. He has run over 300 CLE Programs, presented twice to the NY State  Supreme Court on e-discovery best practices, and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine School of Law.
