Using Knowledge Strategy To Refresh Your Information Strategy

In this discussion, we will apply a lens of knowledge management to better understand information use and reuse in the organization. By understanding how assets are consumed by employees, information management can quickly become an essential component to any knowledge-intensive organization realizing its strategic imperatives.

The presenter for this event is: Cristian Young, Global Knowledge Manager, Siegel+Gale
Cristian began working in knowledge management shortly after graduate school, enjoying the challenge of balancing the human with the need for organizational efficiencies in a digital world. He strongly believes organizations and the people who compose them can work better through the strategic application of technologies and processes. But what matters most in any knowledge management practice is a relentless dedication to user-centered technology and process design.

Currently heading the knowledge management function at global branding firm Siegel+Gale, Cristian has also worked in analytics and project management capacities for SapientNitro, The Boeing Company and The International Institute for Learning. His past clients have included international development organizations, consumer goods companies, financial services firms, and national wireless carriers. Cristian is currently a member of Columbia University's School of Continuing Education adjunct faculty. He is also an avid traveler, having either lived, worked or volunteered in New York, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Atlanta, London, Oxford, Madrid, Doha, rural Ecuador, and rural Panama.

He holds his MS in Information & Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University and his BS in Information Systems and BA in Hispanic Studies from Carnegie Mellon University.
