Our Firm re-uses at least 95% of our offsite file storage boxes. Most of our material is
barcoded and with our 3rd party physical records management software, we can easily
disassociate any file information easily from any given box.
If you do not have a good handle on the ability to manage the file information with
confidence, re-using boxes can be dangerous. With the right records staff handling, there
should be minimal risk involved with the re-usage of boxes.
This will also help save your organization a good amount of money in new supplies and less
perm out, or "hostage" fees for removing a box from your storage provider.
