NAGARA brings trainings closer to home with this one-day Regional Forum dedicated to 
improving the skills & talents of the government archives & records administration 
community.

Date and Time: Thursday, March 23, 2017 | 8AM - 4PM EST

Issues | Data Analytics and Metadata | Transparency v. Privacy | E-mail/Records

Overview: NAGARA, in partnership with the Great Lakes ARMA Region, is excited to bring 
valuable educational training closer to member's living in the Great Lakes Region! In 
addition to the NAGARA Webinar Series – which provides all NAGARA members access to 
educational training sessions from the comfort of their own home or office – government 
archivists and record administrations will now be able to attend LIVE educational sessions 
closer to home! This Spring Regional Forum is comprised of five educational sessions of 
varying and salient topics. A continental breakfast and lunch will be served. NAGARA is 
thrilled to be coming to Ohio and look forward to this opportunity!

9:00 - 9:15 AM:         Opening Remarks
9:15 - 10:15 AM:       Session 1: Technology (Managing File Shares and SharePoint with IG 
Technology)
10:30 - 11:45 AM:     Session 2: Hot Button Issues/Body Cameras (The Adult in the Room: 
Corralling Conflicting Stakeholders)
11:45 - 12:45 PM:     Lunch
12:45 - 1:45 PM:       Session 3: Data Analytics (Using Analytics and Metadata for 
Meaningful Use Governance of Electronically Stored Information)
1:45 - 2:45 PM:         Session 4: Transparency and Privacy (Transparency v. Privacy: Two 
Principles Will Enter, Can Both survive?)
3:00 - 4:00 PM:         Session 5: Email/Records Best Practices (Best Practices in 
Email/Records Management)

Credits: This one-day forum has been pre-approved by ICRM for 5.5 credit hours and pre-
approved by NAGARA for 5 LGARA study hours.
