We keep evidence until all appeals are exhausted or the statute of limitations for appeals has passed, and the case file anywhere from 20-75 years, depending on the criminal classification.

RECMGMT-L Digest - 11 Mar 2017 to 12 Mar 2017 (#2017-59)

We are reviewing are records retention policy for litigation records
(pleadings, settlements, etc.) and have found some corporate legal
departments and outside legal counsel firms are keeping these types of
records for a significantly less period than we are.



As a quick survey of corporate legal  litigation records retention periods,
what is your policy?
