Alex Asked:

My question is - do I need to include these documents in my retention schedule? The data for these records exist in the warehouse and is constatnly being updated.

Alex,

We have reports similar to this where it is continually updated. The thing with our reports is that we only want to see or need the most recent snapshot. The past information is superseded by new data. In this case, I do keep it on the retention schedule, but use SUP as the retention period. Meaning when it is superseded, I can destroy the past data. I like to include it so that anyone who may want to look back for any reason knows that I have already destroyed the document.

Lisa
