Wanted to make sure that everyone knew about AIIM18, scheduled for April
10-13, 2018 in San Antonio, TX. This is not the old AIIM trade show - since
our relaunch of the conference a few years ago the focus has been more on
education and practical takeaways.
The conference will include 4 preconference workshops on modern records
management, BPM, intelligent information management, and CIP. The
conference sessions themselves are a mix of keynotes, breakout sessions,
and roundtable discussions. Among the topics to be covered:
- Using analytics to scale information management
- Blockchain, robotic process automation, and other emerging technologies
and how they impact information management practices
- Privacy, data protection, and GDPR
- Approaches to managing Google Docs, SharePoint, and information in the
cloud
- NARA's FERMI initiative
- Change management
- Improving enterprise search
- File share cleanup initiatives
- Case studies on records management and information governance from some
of the largest, most highly regulated organizations in the world
- Special networking events for CIPs and Women in Information Management
(WIIM)
AIIM18 has been preapproved for ARMA IGP credits and AIIM CIP credits and
has been submitted to the ICRM for preapproval as well.
The early bird registration deadline is today, January 31, 2018; after
today the price goes up.
