What's good for the goose is not always good for the gander.  There's so
much to take into account here.  Personally, I like the control we have by
doing it in-house.  At the onset and with a rather substantial number of
documents, it might be best to outsource.  You would also need a rather
hefty size budget to outsource as many firms work 24/7.  So if you have
the budget and need them scanned quickly, consider outsourcing.  If you
can afford to wait and do not have the budget, do it yourself.  A large
amount of records to scan can be overwhelming....
