One very good resource for information on firms that provide "content
management" and business process management solutions is Gartner Group. For
an organization that has an interest in acquiring the best and most
effective solutions, the Gartner Magic Quadrants for ECM and BPM can provide
some great information. Firms that lack the customer base / installation
base needed to ensure that they'll be here in the long run, frequently don't
make the Magic Quadrant in any sector.

I have very quickly (=superficially) looked at Spescom's Web site
(http://www.spescomsoftware.com/). The description of Spescom on the Home
Page is "Spescom Software is a leading provider of enterprise content and
configuration management solutions that capture, store and manage
information about assets, products and processes throughout their life
cycles."
