Tony

That's exactly the situation I have - no corporate EDMS, my corporate DRM
Policy and the IT Data Management Policy basically say "if it's a record
don't leave it in the email system". I also have a DRM training and
awareness program and supporting generic procedures so that if someone
does delete something, or they don't get it out of the email system into
Trim or somewhere else that I've certified as a compliant recordkeeping
system, then I can protect my corporate and personal back in court by
saying that I can't be responsible if someone else ignores the rules, I've
been reasonable, diligent and prudent and so has the company.

Does this mean we actually DO 100% good recordkeeping? I'm not going to
answer that on a public listserv but we are getting there slowly. Cultural
change isn't easy.

Regards

Glenn

These views are mine alone. They may or may not be those of any
previous or present employers or clients. I don't know. If I'd asked
and they'd agreed, I would have signed it "Harry Peck and Co and
Glenn". Or whatever. But I haven't, so I didn't.
