The reason for my asking is of course because sometimes I do and sometimes 
I don't. 

Participate, that is. 

Depending. 

Certainly depending on if a big rich commercial firm (like www.RR.com 
which viewed from up here in Oz looks like a telco) is using the List to 
do a marketing survey on the cheap.

On the other hand, if you are a starving student living in a garret . . . 
(and thinking things will improve when you finally get onto an RM salary)
