Adam, why don't they want to use the barcoding module of their existing
system?  That will likely inform their options.  Is it purely financial?


Things to consider if going with a 3rd-party product include: will it
play with their existing RMS well?  Does IT have the resources (and
willingness!) to add yet another product to the infrastructure?  Does
the TCO (total cost of ownership) of a 3rd-party product really provide
long term value?  What are the goals they are trying to reach by
barcoding in the first place?

My gut reaction to this is it may end up making things more complicated!
