Here's an opportunity to hold Boston City Council's
Ann Hess-Braga [log in to unmask]
accountable for flouting FOI Freedom of Information
public records principles and sunshine open public meetings
principles

The City Council's Staff Director's practice of extorting
citizens, deflecting critique of bad council communications
materials by denying access to public information is a
breach of responsibilities.

This is in the shameless promotion category -
but it is about access to government information -
and it is going to be a great program.

We are seeking organizations to host the webcast
and hold discussions in your communities.

The webcast will be archived, so if this is during
your Spring break, think about doing a local viewing and
discussion when everyone is back.

We will determine if the panelists would be willing to
receive e-mailed questions from sites that are not
participating in the live event.

Please share widely - with your academic colleagues,
your librarians (both academic and public), your local
journalists, and anyone else you can think of --
to see if they would be willing to host an event.

I am happy to send the advisory to anyone as a .doc file,
if requested.

Thanks.
