My apologies for the tone. I do not have a political agenda to grind.
The same holds true for anyone. It would be the same if I was asked to
read a blurb by Sandy Berger on protecting sensitive documents.

You have to "walk the walk" if you want my respect in a certain arena.

The fact that as a high ranking official, Mr. Gonzalez did not keep
track of critical decisions he made is his lack of records management.
In some cases, he couldn't even remember what meetings he attended. As
the Attorney General, his agenda is a permanent record. If he doesn't
have it, that is on his shoulders as the custodian of that record.

I hope that I don't start a flurry of politicized emails. It was not my
intention.
Lisa

Actually, it's not so much as his inability as refusal to keep records
or just denial that they exist. It's almost the old saying, "Do as I
say, not as I do."

Well, hopefully this exchange won't start another "RIM Range War", and
obviously, that wasn't the intent of providing the original link.

None the less, in response to Steve's ovbservations about Lisa's post,
I'm not entoirely convinced her comments weren't directed at his
inability to properly keep records. It could be interpreted that the
comments were intended to indicate that had Gonzalez done a better job
of keeping records on the decisions he made or his earlier comments,
(which given his postion are likely Federal records), that he MAY HAVE
BEEN ABLE to "recall or remember" the facts he was being asked to
testify to.

=) But I digress....
