I would have to answer yes to both a & b.

a.	Every records should be on the retention schedule
b.	Why would you not have a saved version of the schedule in the
first place?

As for saving versions for historical purposes, I guess it depends on
your schedule & company policy? After all, the retention for the
schedule can be "until superseded" can't it? Also, what is the policy of
making changes to the schedule? Do the changes need approved, first? If
so, do you go through the approval process weekly? I have found that
yearly is good. I make the changes, a proposed schedule, & submit the
changes for approval annually.

What do the others on this list do?

I missed this the first time, and then I read the portion of Larry's
posting (included above), which said that the RRS should be declared as
a record. Does that mean that:

(a) a retention period needs to be assigned to the retention schedule,
and
(b) do I need to save each version of the retention schedule before I
make any changes to it?

I know that I'm adding or changing something to one of our 5 retention
schedules every week or so, so do I need to make the change, and then
save a new copy of the schedule to preserve a history of the changes?

Thanks!
