"Funny story... during a recent meeting with Legal we were discussing a
few revisions to one of our retention documents, and one of our
attorneys quipped, "What's the retention on a retention document?" He
thought he was hilarious. =)"

I've had this reaction before. But then I explain of the times at my old
company when we had a subpoena duces Tecum asking for medical records for
someone that worked for the company back in the 1940's. Thank heavens we had
the oldest schedules and I could provide Counsel with copies of our old
schedules, our old policy, and a letter explaining why these records no
longer existed. We also had all our destruction documentation, so if I had
that I would produce it as well.

Rock on!

PS I am not attending the Police concerts. I saw them in 1978 at the Showbox
Theater in Seattle. They were loud. The were late. We were in heaven. Andy
Sumner was amazing. Still is I think.
