I wanted to say, as someone without 'initials' after my name (well, I
have an MLS, but I don't put it on my signature or business card), and
also having a supervisor with initials after his name (CRM), it is so
gratifying to have said supervisor welcome questions about why we do
something the way we do from me, and from anyone else in the department,
because he knows that we have different viewpoints, and different sets
of experience. He sees things, but we sometimes see them differently,
and yes, sometimes we need something explained to us...and sometimes, we
need to explain how we see an issue to him.

In my personal opinion, the best managers are those who know they need
to learn. This listserv is great, and I never want to be afraid to ask
questions on it, even when I might have 'initials', because someone will
think I'm stupid.

I've learned a lot from reading the listserv...even from the postings
that say something I already knew, because I find something that I
didn't know in some of the replies.
