Pallavi:

ISO 15489 is a good tool to use in assisting you in creating standards of
policies and procedures for a records management program. I have used it on
many occasions. However - it is only a best practices standards and there
is no accreditation available.

Hope this is of some assistance.

You can search the Listserv Archives for additional comments on this as the
topic comes up occasionally.

Dear All,

I am working for an Upstream Oil & Gas Sector Company in Asia and we are
currently looking at standardising our records management practices to align
to ISO 15489. We are also looking at the possiblilty of an accredited
certification on this standard therafter. IF anyone could share similar
experiences, I'd be grateful.

  Regards,
  Pallavi.
