I'd like to invite all of you to visit the "History of Archives,
Recordkeeping, and Records" wiki at http://tinyurl.com/sqgtl and add to the
contents.

The wiki is an international venture and the goal is to get the wiki to
contain all the possible information about archives and records centers,
archives and records management societies and organizations, individual
archivists and records managers, and anything pertaining to the history of
our profession and our way of life. The wiki was featured on page 19 of the
latest edition of Archival Outlook (May/Jun 2007).

Please visit the wiki, add an entry or two, put your initials next to your
added entry, and put your initials, name, and professional affiliation at
the bottom of the wiki under the "June 2007" heading. If you see an entry
that contains incorrect information or that you wish to add to, please do
so! After all, it is a wiki. If you do change something, please add your
own initials to those of the person who originally placed the entry and do
the initials, name, and affiliation thing at the bottom, also under the
"June 2007" heading.

The wiki is growing and it can only do so through the assistance of
history-minded persons like all of you. Thank you to all who have
contributed and who will contribute.

Russell D. James, MA, MLIS
