Steve
I am on a IRM compliance committee that is just starting up. One of the
initiatives that was suggested has to do with a Records Center Advisory
Council.
Are you able to provide any additional information re: charter, format,
any material at all? We would appreciate anything to help us kick start
this effort.

Regards,
Melissa

I have oversight of the El Paso County Records Center in Colorado
Springs, Colorado. El Paso County is now the largest County in
Colorado. The records center is part of El Paso County Information
Technologies. This is the perfect place to be so that the records
center, in a close partnership with IT, can drive the new information
management initiatives in scanning, document management, electronic
records, and email management. In order to have clout, I have organized
a "Records Center Advisory Council" composed of the elected officials
and department heads. One of the county commissioners serves as chair.
This council ensures the support I need. I also have a network of
trained department records liaisons. We continue their training with
formal sessions on information management topics each month.
