Hello RIMserv,
For those of you who are interested, my session at the Baltimore conference is a poster session that presents my notes I used to pass the CRM exam from 2004--2006 (note: this time period is pre-testing facility and the notes are relevant to the "old" study outline).
One of the "jewels" I will distribute in my take-away package is my notes taken from Mr. Bill Benedon's "Records Management" book c. 1969. I don't believe it's easy to find anymore, but it's a fascinating reflection on the state of the industry and it's a commentary on the direction of the profession in terms of electronic records at the time. I swear by it as an introduction to the RIM profession as readily as I swear by Robek v 3 and 4 (from which I also took notes and they will be on the cd).
Hey, the Certified Archivist exam preparation still uses books--why can't we? (hehehehehe)
Whether you need my notes or not--come by the poster session area that Monday and say, "Howdy!".
