I've worked for 2 cities in 2 states. The law stated that response time
for requests was 10 days. That wasn't specifically to produce the
records but to respond to the request. If additional time was needed, to
produce the requested document, the requestor was to be contacted to
explain what the delay was for. I would suggest that you just treat it
as a request and go by what your state's guidelines are.
