Hello everyone,
Does anyone know any international conventions/standards for name entries in
databases (eg contact databases, archives catalogues, etc)?
We're currently trying to find a CONSISTENT solution for how to enter proper
names such as:
Paul van de Weijen (van de Weijen, Paul // Weijen, Paul van de??)
Antonio Perez Gonzalez (how to treat several last names )
Anna Maria Isabelle Miller (how to treat several first names)
Etc etc...
In the past people entered data in the contact database in a myriad of
different ways (a nightmare for a records management person...)
Thank you!
Kind regards
Stefanie Pohle
