In the video, Weinberger says, "metadata is what you know, data is what
you're looking for."

Thinking in terms of index cards and microfilm and document profiles, it's
true it used to have a more strict definition, but it's one of those words
in the English language that will survive for a long time--it has the
shoulders to carry a number of associated meanings.
