okay here is the key quote from the article

""The only loan files that we are destroying or seeking to destroy have been
fully imaged," Mr. Kalas said. "Anything related to consumer concerns or
loan fraud or anything like that, the information would be available on
American Home servers.""

if the files had been imaged why weren't they destroyed after they had been
imaged and qc'd. a discussion that has taken place on this list numerous
times.
