I'm not from Canada, just a few miles south in Colorado (starts with a "C", and that rhymes with "P" and that stands for "POOL"!, but I digress and if you don't know what I'm talking about, you haven't watched enough musicals). Anyway ...

In our organization we have Colorado State Archives-approved retention periods as follows:

Applications (Solicited) for Regular Employment for Persons Not Hired - 2 YRS from date of application
Applications (Solicited) for Temporary Employment for Persons Not Hired - 6 MOS from date of application
Applications (Unsolicited) for Employment for Persons Not Hired - 1 MON after date of reception
