Lawrence wrote "I have been asked to come up with various metrics to measure productivity in the Document Control Center......."

There are several metrics that can be used, primarily amongst them could be:
- Average time taken to fulfill a request for retrieval/storage
- Average time taken to file a document
- Number of new documents stored or documents retrieved (monthly stats)
- Number of boxes (as a net year to date)
- Cost (to store, retrieve) - measurement as a cost center
- % of documents available in Document Center vs not available (i.e. how many requests resulted in a successful match and retrieval)
- Gauge of user satisfaction - perhaps through formal user surveys or informal feedback
- Types of documents most frequently accessed (e.g. Contracts)

There are e several others but these are the ones that are more obvious.

Thanks
Ganesh Vednere
