Senior Records Management Professional Needed in Government Agency in
Washington, DC!

 

Responsibilities include:

 

* Analyze and evaluate records in any medium to determine continuing
information values and make expert recommendations regarding ultimate
disposition. 
* Provide expert advice and guidance on proper preservation and
protection of record materials.
* Perform a wide range of analytical work to fulfill development and
completion of records disposition schedules and records management
projects covering the entire life-cycle. 
* Assist in scheduling all types of records, including electronic
records thereby expanding the electronic review of documents and their
on-line transfer.
* Drafts and completes records disposition schedules and coordinates
with appraisal archivist and program office. 
* Conduct records management compliance reviews and assistance visits.
* Provide technical guidance and assistance in response to records
management queries received from domestic and foreign offices.
* Develop and implement training modules and products.
* Conducts training and briefing sessions.
* Ensure compliance with existing Federal legislation, regulations, and
mandates directed ensuring the public's ability to access historical
foreign policy records.
* Assist in the identification and implementation of vital records.
* Assist with the transition to a more electronic and automated
environment.
* Drafts standards, guidance, and policy documents and tools.
* Work closely with staff to ensure that the present and future systems
are compliant.
