Volunteers are being recruited for two new ARMA standards/best practices publications projects. Once developed, these publications will be submitted for ANSI registration as Technical Reports:

* "Mobile Communications and RIM" will offer recommendations for incorporating the use of emerging technologies into an organization's information governance policy.

* "Using Social Media in Organizations" will provide RIM best practice advice for organizations that are implementing social media tools. It will complement ANSI/ARMA 18-2011 Implications of Web-based Collaborative Technologies in Records Management, as well as ARMA International's Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles(r).

Workgroup members participate via teleconference calls, e-mail, and a collaborative work space, and work is generally completed within six to 12 months.

Your participation in ARMA International's Standards Development Program projects will enhance not only your career, but also ARMA's value and recognition as the RIM industry's standards/best practices leader. To learn more about or to join either of these projects, choose the project title from the "Select a Current Project in Progress" drop-down menu at: www.arma.org/standards/development/standardsprogress.cfm<http://www.arma.org/standards/development/standardsprogress.cfm>.

If you have questions about the ARMA International Standards Development Program or these new projects, e-mail [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
