 Records Information Manager About the Job 1st Choice has an immediate
opening for a Records Information Manager. ​ The successful candidate will
have at least five years of experience.​  Certified Records Management
designation is preferred.

*Job Description:*

   - Responsible for maintaining corporate records by complying with
   regulatory and legal requirements; determining retention and disposal
   cycles;
   -  Achieves records retention operational objectives by contributing
   information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
   - Preparing and completing action plans; implementing production,
   productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems;
   completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements;
   implementing change.
   - Establishes and publishes company record retention policy by reviewing
   policies; complying with federal and state legal requirements; consulting
   with human resources, operations, and legal departments.
   - Maintains record retention policy by keeping abreast of changing
   legalities, technology, and corporate needs.
   - Avoid legal challenges of records by understanding current and
   proposed legislation; enforcing regulations; recommending new procedures.
   - Overseeing the management of electronic and/​or paper-based
   information;
   - Setting up, maintaining, reviewing, and documenting records systems;
   - Identifying the most appropriate records management resources;
   - Advising on and implementing new records management policies and
   classification systems;
   - Providing a policy framework to guide staff in the management of their
   records and use of the employer's records system;

   - At least five years of experience.
   - Federal government experience a plus
   - Bachelor's degree and Certified Records Management designation is
   preferred
   - Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
   - Detail oriented, organized, self-starter
   - Proactive attitude and an ability to work to deadlines while handling
   multiple projects
   - Strong analytical & problem solving skills
   - Ability to travel across the continental United States
   - Easily adaptable to change
   - Knowledgeable of records management principles and practices;
   including creating and maintaining databases
   - Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
