The Information Governance Reference Model (IGRM) is a good basic
framework to look at the cross-functional impact of IG, from a broad
perspective. The key areas of the IGRM are RIM, Legal, IT, Business, and the
most recent addition, Privacy & Security.

Risk, efficiency, and profit are key top-of-mind considerations. Creating a
defensible sdispoition strategy across functional lines is key.

Unified IG programs require policy integration and transparent processes
across functional lines in the organization.

The model may be found here: http://www.edrm.net/resources/guides/igrm
