Greetings,

I am trying to wrap my head around the concept of eDiscovery and when it is used.

I went to a presentation on it last week and was relaying how costly it is to my boss. She questioned why it was necessary. Anytime our organization has been sued, they produced all the records requested.

So, my question...is the basis of eDiscovery finding information that you don't know you need hoping to find something that may help your case?

Thanks in advance.

Lisa
