Hello illustrious listserv!
We have some non-medical radiographs/x-rays that we want to discard. They were created in the mid-1990s, so I think they are likely polyester. Do you know of any particular requirements to consider when discarding, such as cannot be thrown in the trash/recycling, etc. These do not contain any confidential information and are not medically related.
I am also interested in seeking best practice for discarding a portion of a record set that has been reappraised and determined to no longer have value for the agency. In this scenario, the narrative documents will continue to be maintained per the retention schedule but the related radiographs can now be discarded. How have you documented/processed this decision?
On an unrelated note, I hope to meet many of you at ARMA in a little over a week. Thank you again for your guidance.
Cheers,
jessica
