Although the part concerning the exotic dancers provides a humorous element, this court 
case could result in substantial change to open records law in Washington State.

What is at stake is the ability of a federal judge to overrule the will of the voters and 
legislators of the state. Unless a record is specifically exempt by law from disclosure, it has 
to be released to the public. If this decision stands, it could lead to the unraveling of open 
government law in this state.
