Arlington County seeks a dynamic Information Management Analyst to work in the
Department of Technology Services. The Division supports enterprise systems in
functional areas such as HR, Finance, Collections/Receivables, and Real Estate.
This position will support the County's records and information management program by
leading strategic initiatives, communications efforts, overseeing projects, and providing
training to county staff.
Specific duties include:
•Leading strategic initiatives to support open government, public access to information,
data analysis and visualization, and the County online archive of historical records.
•Providing training and education on information management policies and procedures.
•Managing communications through various channels to promote awareness of
information management principles and providing guidance to County employees and
contractors.
•Overseeing information management projects to ensure that they adhere to deadlines
and achieve stated goals and outcomes.
•Assisting with administration of records and information management systems (OnBase
and SharePoint).
•Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
•Experience in records and information management or related field;
•Knowledge of enterprise content management systems, preferably SharePoint and
Hyland Software's OnBase;
•Knowledge of records and information management best practices;
•Awareness of new technology and trends and their application for records and
information management;
•Excellent oral and written communication skills;
•Ability to multi-task and work independently.
The employee reports to the Chief Records Management Officer.
Selection Criteria:

Minimum: Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field PLUS one year of
experience in records and information management to include assisting in one or more of
the following areas: project coordination, communications initiatives and or training.
Desirable:
a) experience working with digital records;
b) experience with archival or records management software;
c) experience with project management; and/or
d) experience coordinating the work of others.
