< I'd like to know what branch of the Federal Government they work for.  We can't use our personal e-mail, even if we wanted to...it's blocked.>
Unfortunately, most federal, state and local government agencies do not have the protocols and security exhibited by the U.S. military.  I found this true years ago when moving from a job required to meet Military Specifications for microfilm of documents submission to state government microfilm programs.  BIG difference in control and security of information.
