CHENNAI: With banks no longer accepting laminated documents because it is
difficult to ascertain if they are genuine or forged, delaminators in the
city — and there is only a handful of them — have reported a major surge in
business.

People who laminated property deeds or birth certificates, marksheets and
other documents are concerned that delamination may damage them. But have
no option if they are going to use the documents for a bank transaction.
