Hello,
We currently include a section in our RIM Program Description on the ownership of records and information as follows:
SECTION 3. Ownership of Records and Information.
All records and information shall be the property of the Authority and, in this regard, outgoing officers, employees, and consultants shall deliver such records and information to their successors. No records and information are to be removed from the premises and stored in any unauthorized location (e.g., employee residences).
Do others have similar language in their program policy documents? If not, what has precluded you from incorporating the statement? Would also be interested in any enforcement mechanisms in place for those who do.
Many thanks in advance!
Wishing everyone in the U.S. a lovely long weekend,
Jessica Fairchild, CRM, MLIS
