Glen asked "ave your records services been impacted by any weather events?"

Oh boy... Winter 2014... Boston received 107" of snow that year, between
the end of January and the beginning of April. The office of the law firm I
was at closed for five to ten business days that winter. Plus, public
transit was just plain broken (e.g. the third rails froze over so large
segments of train lines could not run). This had a large affect on
attorneys who had to be in the office, not to mention staff whose commutes
changed from half an hour to an hour and a half.

a) Delivery of records from the warehouse was slowed
b) In-house requests were delayed when staff were unable to be in the
facility for the full day
c) This proved the value of electronic records.

The firm had already been to promote electronic records. Everyone was
working electronically. However, there was still resistance in my office to
scanning. This provided a way for us RIM folk to press attorneys on
scanning their records so that they would be less affected by severe
weather.
