Aloha All,

Like the Listserv, there are good and bad points about Linkedin...It's a free service and in general, the posters try to keep things "business related".  I don't use the delete key as much as I do with other websites and I don't mind some of the "inspirational" stuff sometimes posted.

What I don't like about Linkedin is the sales pitches and once you've accepted a person's invite.  It's gotten to the point where if they don't have anything to do with Records Management, I don't accept their invite to connect.  

Like the Listserv, Linkedin is a great place to network and keep in touch with colleagues...I try to separate FB from Linkedin by keeping my FB connections to very close friends or family.  The others (who are just as valued), I keep in touch via Linkedin.  Hopefully, that will explain to some why I don't accept your invite for FB...I try to keep my "dark secrets" (lol) confined to close friends and family on Facebook and use Linkedin for material for "general consumption."

Anyway, I still value Linkedin...I think it's users should "self-police" the content, as much as possible...I don't think we necessarily need Big Brother to come out with too many rules. :-)
