Hi Mark,
Interesting question.  I once contacted an Accounting Manager to
verify/approve the destruction of some accounting records from that
department.  His answer?  Those aren't my records anymore:)

Well, I disagree.  There is a difference in transferring ownership or
transferring custody.  Storage of records is a RIM service offered to the
organization.  Therefore, RIM takes custody to centralize the storage for
space and cost efficiency and to apply standardized and compliant retrieval
and disposition, but RIM does not own the records.
