Ineke,

Could you further explain your use case.  What do you want automated 
with the workflow.  Do you want to automate declaring the document a 
record?  In my experience I have learned that there is no "out of the box 
solution" that is going to fit every use case.  The best that you can hope for 
is to define the different Events that make a document an official record.  

I'm sure this is not what you are looking for in regards to workflow but I'll 
share what I know.  Retention for Projects is based on the close date of the 
project + x amount of years.  The challenge is to come up with an 
automated solution to define when the project closes and apply the close 
date to all of the content.  So prior to setting up your workflow you will 
want to figure out how all of the information is grouped together so a user 
can populate just one date and then all date fields with the same project 
will get populated.  This will require programming and will either need to 
be run via subscription or utility job.
