REALLY love this, Luciana:

receiving, or using it in the course of an activity and keeping it in
connection with such activity for further action or reference)."

I'm going to make it a new plaque for my office wall. :o)

With this definition in mind, how would you distinguish 'record' from
'evidence'? Or do you believe that's an 'apple vs. oranges' comparison?
