Glen Sanderson said "When we buy gas a portion(tax) goes to the roads/infrastructure. Since electric cars don't use gas they pay no road tax and are not contributing to the upkeep of the infrastructure. What would be the best way to tax them? Miles that they go annually?"

I would suggest a special fee on vehicle registration, as this system is already in place.

The interesting question is, would it be a national system, or state-by-state? The gas tax is at BOTH levels....

Best regards,

Fred
